Haha… Yes, Tze Kang… I’m finally back from "holidaying".  :)  Been on holiday from Blog-world far too long now, and I feel like there’s so many things I wanna say, yet so little time to write them all down.

It’s been a trying 2 months.  Exams, relationship problems, self-esteem problems, self-doubt, the end of a love affair… and depression as the grand finale.  Isn’t it all grand??  Sigh… Sounds like I’m having a mid-life crisis, and I shouldn’t even be in the position to complain!   I have almost everything people could possibly ever ask for, and yet something is missing.  And that’s the elusive factor that’s making me genuinely unhappy. 

Well, a new chapter of my life is beginning.  I can feel it coming… just around the corner.  It’s time to get down to business and figure out what it is that I want in life, and what goals I need to achieve.  Life starts at 30, they say.  Well, I will have to make sure it ’starts’ earlier for me.  :) 

People go through these kind of things everyday (probably even worse circumstances), and still they are able to pick themselves up, get on with life, and make a better life for themselves.  As my friend told me when I was in one of my lowest moods, what can’t kill you will only make you stronger.  Again, I have to hold on to that thought and move on… hopefully to better things ahead.  If others can do it, so can I… 

Took 2 days off work to head down south… to JB and S’pore.  What bliss!  Haha… It’s great not to have to think about work for awhile, and just relax and not worry about anything work-related.  Though I did miss the ASM quiz (which sounded like the guys had a blast!), but it was worth it to take the time off.  I anticipate busy months ahead, and I am really not looking forward to it.  Sigh…

I met up with an ex-colleague for lunch today (in S’pore), and it was great chatting to him and talking about nonsense in general.  :)  Plus the lunch fare was actually quite good.  Yummy…!  S’pore does offer quite a wide variety of food.  Worth thinking about…

But I really have to do some dieting and serious excercising when I head back to KL.  I’m putting on some weight, and at the worst places… ;)  Haha…

Another 2 more days of holiday to go… Better make FULL use of it…

More problems with blog.  This is so annoying!  If this persists, I may really have to follow Vince’s footsteps and start a new blog somewhere else!  But obviously, being the sentimental fool I am, I feel a little 不舍得 to leave my ‘virgin’ blog.  :P  Will see how it goes…

YEAH!  My blog is back!!! 

… one more to go.  Sigh…

Really dunno how it went.  I did write as much as I can, but really don’t know how well or how badly I did.  Can only tell when results come out in Dec.  Sigh. 

At least it’s over.  I feel like a load has just been lifted off my shoulders.  Only one more paper to go.  Better try my best for that.  Already failed it a few times.  Can’t afford to fail it again. 

I’m all ready to ‘party’ though.  Haha… Especially reading books I bought ages ago, and tv series (ie Desperate Housewives).  Hehe…

Sigh… another day of revision, and suddenly realised there’s quite a
bit I still don’t know!!  Arrgghh…  especially the last few
chapters!  I mean, the ones at the front have got repeats from the life
insurance paper, which are still mangeable.  But the last bit on
reinsurance and stuff… arggghh!!  Stupid exams!  Brain obviously not
working today!!  :(  2 more days… How now brown cow?! 

… til "judgement" day!  Haha… Yes, yes… exam coming up in 3 days.  Darn… (am I allowed to swear here?!  Haha…)  How ready I am?  Well, not very.  Honestly, I didn’t really study as much as I should’ve for it.  If I passed, I’d be very surprised.  Or rather, very lucky.  I mean, I’ve been doing the assignment questions, and they don’t seem too difficult.  I could garner up some good points, hopefully enough in the exam, huh? 

Well, I just have to hope for the best now.  And pray that my brain is clear and nimble enough to think up the required answers.  And pray that I have enough luck to get questions I know how to answer!! 

Hahaha…  :)  It’s been a great day!  Although I just turned… *ahem*…  old…  hahaha….  But still, I’m happy.  I just tell (more like convince) myself that age is just a number and as long as my mind is still young and agile, I have nothing to complain about.

The second past midnite, I already received some sms wishing me Happy Birthday, which was great!  :)  I was really happy to get messages from friends I have not heard from for awhile.  A good start to my birthday. 

My birthday morning started with my usual Sunday pukulan lesson, then made a quick detour to Ikano/The Curve for a quick coffee and also to pick up my free Ogawa birthday mug.  Hehe…  It’s quite a nice mug.  I will be bringing it to the office to use on Tuesday.  :) 

After that, my uncle bought me and my family lunch at Restoran Overseas.  Stuffed myself, as usual.  :P  The char-siew noodles was YUM!  :P  With our stomachs full, we made our way to Berjaya Times Square.  Bought some DVDs and tried to look for shoes to buy, but unfortunately the selection was just too poor!  Sigh… so disappointing!  We shopped till about 4pm, only then were we contented to head home.  :) 

For dinner, my bf bought me and my family dinner at Pizza Uno.  It was yummy too.  We had red wine and pasta, and chocolate brownies for a b’day cake.  :) 

All in all, it’s been a fantastic day!  Makes turning "21" bearable!  Hahaha…. (I wish!!) 

Sigh… another b’day, another year older.  It is this day that you ask yourself:  you’ve been on earth for the past ** years, what have you done or achieved to show for it?   

And I have been thinking about this question, and suddenly I am depressed.  What HAVE I achieved?   It is true I have more than most people could ever ask for.  But I realise that I don’t have that many close friends.  In that, I guess I have only myself to blame as I have not been as diligent as a friend should be in keeping in touch and making the effort to maintain the relationship.

So to my friends (and family)… on this special day of mine, I hope you will find it in your hearts to forgive my past failings.  I shall resolve to make a change, but it will take time.  So please be patient with me in the meantime.  It will mean a lot to me.  That’s the best gift you can give me on my birthday. 

My colleague gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday morning (11 August 2005).  Welcome to the world, little Denise!  You’re a lucky girl, with parents who will love you to bits.  :)  She’s so tiny and fragile, sleeping in her tiny cot.  Make me want one for myself.  Haha… :P 

But of course, if I really think about it, I don’t think I’m ready for one yet.
